Join us for a memorable day exploring the heart of North Carolina’s wine country—Yadkin Valley. This signature experience weaves together the charm of boutique vineyards, the delight of handcrafted wines, and the joy of good company. Enjoy a plated picnic lunch, savor gourmet bites, and soak in the stunning vineyard landscapes. All curated with care by The Grape Experience.
Program Details
Your day begins with a warm welcome and a signature aperitif, crafted just for you by The Grape Experience. We’ll take a moment to get to know each other and understand what you hope to discover throughout the day.
From there, we embark on a scenic 45 to 75-minute drive (depending on pick-up location: Charlotte, Lake Norman, Winston-Salem, Greensboro, or Wilkesboro) to our first vineyard destination.
At Vineyard One, you’ll enjoy a North Carolina-grown wine paired with chef-curated charcuterie bites. This is your chance to breathe in the fresh vineyard air, unwind, and begin your day of discovery.
Next, we visit Vineyard Two, where a thoughtfully prepared, plated-style picnic lunch awaits. You’ll also enjoy one shared bottle of NC wine per group of three—perfect for sharing stories, laughter, and sun-drenched vineyard views.
Our final stop, Vineyard Three, offers a full wine tasting experience featuring 6–10 of the vineyard’s signature wines. Pair your tastings with a hand-selected assortment of fine chocolates for a truly decadent finale.
Please note: The order of vineyard visits may be adjusted based on availability or to enhance your experience.
We conclude our day around 4 PM, with a relaxing drive back to your original meeting point (approximately 60–70 minutes).

Our private Three Vineyard Picnic Experience offers a personalized experience designed specifically for you and your guests. We take into account your interests, wine preferences, and requests to create a unique itinerary and picnic setting. With our expertise and partnership with some of the Yadkin Valley's top vineyards, we can fulfill any special requests you may have, ensuring that your day out is perfect in every way. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail, which sets us apart and makes your experience exceptional.
All of our picnic experiences are private and require a minimum of 2 people. Two-people experiences will require to pay a premium.

Our tour will begin at 10am and last until 5pm. We can't wait to spend the day with you!
We will meet at 10am.
The location of your choice. The entire group should be ready for pickup at the pickup location.
We provide 1 bottle for 2-3 people, 2 bottles for 4-6 people, and 3 bottles for 7-10 people. If your group is larger, please contact us and we will provide you with more information.

Our wine tours run year-round, so it depends on the season.
Our recommendations are:
- Spring & Summer: Light, breathable clothing and comfortable shoes or sneakers.
- Fall & Winter: Cozy layers and boots to keep you warm and comfortable outdoors.
Think casual, comfortable, and photo-ready — you’ll be relaxing in vineyards and soaking up the views!

Our experiences run rain or shine! Unless there’s an immediate weather threat, we’ll continue as planned. If it rains, we provide umbrellas and make arrangements for a cozy indoor setting so you can still relax and enjoy your day.
- 14 days or more before your experience: 100% refund minus a $200.00 administrative fee.
- Less than 14 days prior: Non-refundable. We are happy to reschedule based on availability.
- Within 72 hours of your experience: Non-refundable and not eligible for rescheduling.
NOTE: A minimum of 2 participants is required for all experiences. If only 1 guest is booked, The Grape Experience will contact you to reschedule or issue a full refund.
